'Showing beautifully and one of the most charming, supple and sweetly fruited wines in the vintage, the Maurel brothers' 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape offers plenty of blackberry and kirsch-like fruits, white pepper and Provençal herbs in a medium-bodied, silky and lightly textured style. The tannin is ripe and polished, and given its upfront feel, it's best drunk over the coming 5-6 years.'
