'The 1993 Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo is another superb wine. A bit wilder and more sauvage than most wines of the period, the 1993 remains fresh, vibrant. Game, tar, licorice, smoke and black cherries flow through to the powerful, structured finish. The 1993 doesn't quite have the finesse of the 1994 or 1995, but is still in great shape, even after all these years.'
