Diese Flaschen stammen auf einem feuchten und sehr kühlen Keller. Dort lagerten die Weine seit Freigabe durch das Weingut. Das konnte von uns überprüft werden.
Das Etikett ist durch die feuchte Umgebung beschädigt; dafür ist der Füllstand top. Eine hervorragende und günstige Gelegenheit für Genießer, denen die Optik der Flasche weniger wichtig ist.

'A shade more elegant and refined than the '94, yet sharing the delicious range of flavors, with bright black cherry, plum and floral notes. Turns smooth and polished.'

'2011 einmal voll da mit schöner Kirschfrucht, Frische und Eleganz – WT93, aber in der großen Opus-Vertikale Ende 2011 auch sehr reif und etwas strukturlos – WT91. 2016 mehrfach gut gereift mit feinem Schmelz, traumhaft balanciert und elegant, Bordeaux-Stilistik, in der Form keine Eile – WT94. Wie ein Mouton Rothschild mit dunkler Frucht statt Cassis schmeckte er immer noch so frisch, elegant 2021, so fein, aber mit viel aromatischem Druck – WT95. '

'The 1995 vintage was ideal in almost every respect. A long, cool growing season yielded a mature and balanced crop. Harvest began in late September and finished in mid-October, a period of dry, warm days and cool nights.
The bouquet of the 1995 Opus One is complex, with hints of cassis and raspberries and with nuances of well-integrated oak.  Elegantly structured, the wine is highlighted by a supple and generous texture.  Its rich, complex flavors show overtones of ripe fruit and a long full finish.'
