'The 2005 Greenock Creek Shiraz is a glass-staining purple/black. It delivers a glorious bouquet of pain grille, pencil lead, truffle, black pepper, plum, and blueberry. Thick, rich, and voluptuous, the wine has superb depth and concentration and a long, fruit-filled finish. There is enough structure for 6-8 years of evolution in the bottle and it will last through 2030. Act quickly because production of this wine is minuscule and not much of it will be making it to the USA.' Solitary Vineyards is a joint venture of ADW and a group of Barossa Valley wine afficionados to make small lot, single varietal wines from the finest Barossa sites. The wines are made at the outstanding Pikes Winery in Clare Valley under the direction of Neil Pike.'
