'Bright medium ruby. Musky, complex aromas of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, licorice, flowers, toasted marshmallow and menthol; less exotic and chocolatey than normal for this wine. Densely packed but pure and bright, with intense raspberry and oak flavors framed by strong but harmonious acids. Boasts good sweetness and a seamless texture but comes across as less open than usual for Haut-Marbuzet at this stage. Finishes brisk and firmly tannic, with excellent length.'
