'With a stricter selection, a later harvest, and the assistance of Libourne oenologist, Michel Rolland, Prieure-Lichine has begun to producer richer, more complete and complex wines. The 1993 is unquestionably a success for the vintage, as well as one of the few southern Medocs with enough fruit, ripeness, and extract to stand up to the tannin and structure. This dark ruby/purple-colored wine offers up an enticing, floral, blackcurrant, and toasty-scented nose, round, supple, medium-bodied flavors with fine depth, and a firm, juicy, deliciously long finish'

'Heute auf grossartigem Niveau mit einem relativ fairen Preis. Ganz toll sind die Jahrgänge 2000, 2002 und 2005 geraten. Beratender Önologe ist Stephan Derenoncourt. Es gibt seit 1998 auch einen meist gut gelungenen Weisswein. Bepflanzung: 54 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 40 % Merlot, 5 % Petit Verdot, 1 % Cabernet Franc.'
