This is a decidedly virile, broad-shouldered wine, with tons of masculinity that stands in stark contrast to the pure sexiness of the 1990. The aromas are just starting to show hints of tertiary nuance, which suggests the 1988 is best enjoyed over the next decade or so. This is a great showing from Fontodi.'
