'Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2017 Pinot Noir Land’s Edge Vineyards opens with spicy notions of fenugreek, cumin seed and cloves over a core of baked red plums, blackberry pie and blueberry preserves plus wafts of oolong tea and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with black and blue fruit preserves, structured with finely grained tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. 1,500 cases were made.'

'Our Land’s Edge Pinot Noir is sourced from two Estate owned Vineyards: our Far Coast Vineyard and our Estate owned Seascape Vineyard. These vineyards are located high on the Sonoma Coast Ridges that run along the 'land's edge' and the Pacific Ocean. We also make single vineyard designated wines from each of the Far Coast and Seascape Vineyards. The Far Coast Vineyard is the predominant component of Land’s Edge – typically making up 90% or more of the blend. We find that the Far Coast part of the blend brings Mocha notes to the nose, and a deep black cherry profile while the Seascape Vineyard part of the blend adds savory notes along with hints of salinity to the Land’s Edge Vineyards cuvee.'
