'Blending chardonnay fruit from our estate Trailside Vineyard in Rutherford and fruit from Oak Knoll AVA, all the classic chardonnay elements marry together in our fresh and vibrant 2016 Napa Valley Chardonnay. The rich, ripe fruit character from the warmer Rutherford vineyard combined with the crisp, light acid in the grapes from the cooler Oak Knoll vineyard is what makes our Chardonnay unique. The new French oak gives the wine vanilla and baking spice flavor without overpowering the varietal flavor.
Upon its first impression, a bouquet of juicy peach fills the nose and undertones of toasted brioche hint at the French oak. Expansive flavors of citrus, including mandarin orange and Meyer lemon, combine with bright acidity, yet beautifully balanced with a creamy mouthfeel on the palate. Refreshing on its own, this wine also has the texture and weight that make it ideal with food. '
