Nebbiolo ist eine rote Rebsorte, die hauptsächlich in Norditalien angebaut wird. Sie ist bekannt für ihre hohe Säure und Tannine und wird oft als eine der besten Rebsorten Italiens angesehen.
Die Geschichte von Nebbiolo reicht bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurück. Die Rebsorte wurde erstmals in der Region Piemont in Norditalien angebaut und hat sich seitdem auf andere Regionen ausgeweitet.
Der Produktionsprozess von Nebbiolo-Wein ist sehr anspruchsvoll. Die Trauben müssen vollständig ausgereift sein, bevor sie geerntet werden. Der Wein wird dann in Eichenfässern gelagert, um seine charakteristischen Aromen und Tannine zu entwickeln.
Nebbiolo wird hauptsächlich in den Regionen Piemont und Lombardei in Norditalien angebaut. Es gibt jedoch auch Anbauflächen in anderen Teilen Italiens sowie in einigen anderen Ländern wie Argentinien und den USA.
Nebbiolo-Weine haben eine dunkle Farbe und sind bekannt für ihre hohen Säure- und Tanningehalte. Sie haben oft Aromen von Kirschen, Pflaumen und Gewürzen.
Der Geschmack von Nebbiolo-Wein ist sehr komplex und variiert je nach Anbaugebiet und Produktionsprozess. Im Allgemeinen sind sie jedoch trocken, tanninreich und haben einen langen Abgang.
Einige der bekanntesten Winzer von Nebbiolo-Wein sind Angelo Gaja, Giacomo Conterno und Bruno Giacosa.
Nebbiolo wird auch unter verschiedenen anderen Namen angebaut, darunter Spanna, Picutener, Chiavennasca und Prunent.
