'From the very best grapes—a selection from single vines in the Kranachberg that were harvested six days after the grand cru—the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc Privat is very intense, rich and deep on the nose, with nice freshness. Fermented and aged for 20 months in Vosges oak barrels, this is a powerful, intense and firmly structured Sauvignon Blanc of great complexity, length and elegance. It is rich but also finessed, provided with very fine tannins and a very long, dense and powerful finish. This is an impressive Sauvignon Blanc that is produced only in the very best vintages. Tasted two times in May and July 2017. Total production: 1,500 bottles.'
