'Speaking of fermentative overlays, that applies to Frohlich's 2006 Bockenauer Felseneck Riesling Spatlese, but the shroud soon parts to reveal sweet clover, honey, and subtly bitter-sweet herbal-concentrate inflections. With elegance, and refinement it charts a charming course through luscious, melony, peachy fruit, to an impressively intense and lingering finish of honey, mint, salts, and wet stone. The longer this is open, the more expressive it becomes. This is one of those Riesling that deliciously proves concentration by no means precludes delicacy. It is another 7.5% alcohol wine that should keep for at least 15-20 years.'
