"Apricot, white pepper and sweet lime on the nose, along with a hint of apple blossom. The palate offers rich peach skin flavor and impressive clarity and lift, with wet-stone slate on the back half. Finishes with a nice juxtaposition of restrained residual sugar, bracing minerality and clove. This is the best off-dry wine of the vintage."

"The deep and refined 2012 Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling is beautifully fragrant and refined yet intense and complex on the floral and flinty-scented nose. Creamy textured, intense and round on the palate, the 2012 develops a long and crystalline finish that reveals a still young and potent wine. It was bottled with about six grams of residual sugar. Very delicate yet intense style. Tasted in June 2019."
